7:30 am: Dr. Norton arrives. (I got a call from Dr. Norton the night before I went in and was told that my doctor, Dr. Cantu, is no longer with the practice for reasons she could not discuss. Dr. Norton said she will be my Dr. from now on. I'm happy about this, b/c Dr. Norton was who I wanted in the first place but she wasn't taking new patients. She is the founder of the practice I go to.) I was already dilated to 3cm and 75% effaced. She hooked up the IV with Oxytocin and breaks my water. We wait. I watch TV, Mike sleeps in a chair.9:45 am: Contractions are coming hard and fast
11:00 am: Contractions are almost unbearable and I am practically in tears...Just keep focusing on that TV. I called the nurse for the epidural. She says he'll be there in 10 minutes.
11:10 am: BEST anesthesiologist ever! The epidural was NOTHING compared to the contractions I was having.
12:30ish pm: Get the doctor! I feel the baby sliding down!
12:44 pm: She's out! And holy moly does she have a lot of black hair! Her forehead is bruised from sitting in the birth canal while the delivery team prepared, but she's still beautiful!!

I am happy to hear that everything went so well. How crazy that your doctor was no longer avail but happy you liked the other doc so it all worked out.
