I have spent the better part of the morning shuffling through the thousand pictures both on my camera and Chris' mom's. There are so many good pictures I was tempted to just include a link to the entire album. But I have narrowed it down for a sampling and here's what you get. Perhaps the rest will be on Facebook. Chris, by the way, is Skye's best friend.
I think I need to explain what it is you're looking at in the photo below. The "Mum" and "Garter" are Texas traditions. She makes him the garter that he wears on his arm, and he makes her the mum that she wears either pinned on or in this case hung around her neck. They are meant to show school spirit, hence the blue & yellow for Klein's colors. The bigger & gaudy-er, the better. If the girl has a bear on hers, then she is considered much cooler than those who do not. Skye's mum came not only with one bear, but two. And the bears are dressed in a Cross Country uniform and an ROTC (Chris is in ROTC) uniform. He wouldn't tell me how many hours he put in to this, but Skye put in like 6 or 7 and look at the size difference! The kids wore these on Spirit Day, the Friday before the Homecoming dance and also to the football game that night.
GO KLEIN BEARKATS!!!

Skye looks FABULOUS!! Beautiful pictures and gorgeous dress.
That was Eliza, not Jeff.
Robyn, I love those pictures! Skye really IS so beautiful :) BTW, I really hope I'm not still living in Texas when the boys are in high school because there is no way I want to be involved in helping make those "mum" things! That's just crazy!
